Circuit Plyometrics training with Mitchell Hardy. Base measurements taken and growth monitored during the 6-week course. $40 per week, paid at the first class of every week.
Circuit Plyometrics Training with Mitchel Hardy
Duration: 6 weeks
Cost: $40 per week (payment due at the first class each week)
This specialized training course is designed for baseball and softball players of all levels who want to enhance their athletic performance through focused plyometric exercises and circuit training.
What is Plyometrics?
Plyometric training, often referred to as "jump training," involves explosive movements aimed at improving power, speed, and agility. These exercises focus on the stretch-shortening cycle of muscles, allowing athletes to develop quicker reaction times and stronger bursts of energy—crucial for sprinting, jumping, and throwing on the diamond. Baseball and softball players benefit greatly from plyometrics by enhancing their ability to accelerate, decelerate, and change direction efficiently.
What is Circuit Training?
Circuit training combines various exercises into a sequence, creating a high-intensity workout that targets multiple muscle groups. Each station in the circuit focuses on different aspects of athletic performance, such as strength, endurance, speed, and flexibility. This method keeps athletes engaged and provides a well-rounded workout. In Mitchel Hardy's class, the circuit is specifically tailored to mimic the movements and demands of baseball and softball gameplay.
Base Measurements
To track progress throughout the 6-week program, athletes will be tested on four key metrics at the start, midpoint, and conclusion of the course:
Long Jump: Measures lower-body explosive power, critical for quick sprints and jumping abilities.
Vertical Jump: Evaluates leg strength and explosiveness, vital for leaping to catch line drives or making accurate throws.
90 Ft Base Time: Tracks sprinting speed over the distance between bases.
60 Ft Base Time: A key measure for players needing short bursts of speed, such as pitchers and catchers covering bunts or chasing passed balls.
Why Join?
Athletes will gain:
Improved agility, coordination, and explosiveness.
Enhanced speed and power for quicker steals, more dynamic plays, and stronger performance overall.
A tailored regimen that supports the specific demands of baseball and softball.
Consistent monitoring and feedback to celebrate improvements and refine techniques.
Whether you're looking to elevate your base-running speed, refine your defensive agility, or boost your overall game, Circuit Plyometrics Training with Mitchel Hardy is an excellent opportunity to achieve your goals.
