Iceavik Nordic Wellness Spa is Newfoundland & Labrador’s first full-scale Nordic spa experience, designed to bring the restorative power of hot–cold therapy to the edge of the Atlantic. Located at the former Murray’s Pond Country Club in Portugal Cove, Iceavik blends rugged coastal beauty with Scandinavian-inspired wellness to create an immersive retreat unlike anything in the province.

Our thermal circuit features hot pools, cedar saunas, steam rituals, cold plunges, fire lounges, hammocks, and quiet relaxation spaces that reconnect guests with nature and themselves. Every detail from our moss green and cedar palette to the positioning of each pool and vantage point has been crafted to maximize calm, clarity, and natural flow. Beyond the signature hydrotherapy, we offer a full suite of services designed for holistic health and deep relaxation in Registered Massage Therapy, Esthetic services and Medical Esthetics.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER:

Rebecca Bezanson is the founder and visionary behind Iceavik Nordic Wellness Spa. A graduate of Saint Mary’s University, she began her career at Scotiabank where she developed a strong foundation in service excellence and learned the importance of creating superior guest experiences.

Her path later expanded into entrepreneurship across real estate, hospitality, and wellness, but her passion has always remained the same, helping people feel cared for. After experiencing Nordic spas throughout Canada, she realized Newfoundland needed a sanctuary of its own. Iceavik became her biggest dream, and turning it into reality was a four-year journey filled with challenges, delays, and obstacles. Through determination, resilience, and an unwavering belief in her vision, she finally secured approval to bring Iceavik to life! Rebecca’s hands-on approach, attention to detail, and guest-first mindset shapes every part of Iceavik, setting a new standard for wellness in the province.
