Throw, shape, and create. In this guided pottery wheel session, you’ll explore the fundamentals of centering, pulling, and shaping clay. Perfect for beginners or a fun outing!

Price of the session is $45. Deposit of $25/individual is required to book the session. This is adjusted towards the final payment at the studio. Experience the art of pottery in this instructor-guided wheel throwing session at The Spinning Wheel ATX. During this 1.5-hour hands-on class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of working with clay on the pottery wheel and create your own unique piece from start to finish. No prior experience is required. After the session, your piece will be professionally cured and kiln-fired—a process that takes approximately three weeks. Once firing is complete, you’re welcome to return at your convenience to either pick up your finished piece or glaze it in a separate glazing session. Glazing sessions are optional, last about 1.5 hours, and are available for an additional $25 per piece. Please note: Wheel throwing is a hands-on creative experience, and pottery is inherently unpredictable. While every effort is made to successfully fire all pieces, occasionally items may crack or not survive the kiln-firing process. This is a natural part of working with clay and is beyond the control of our instructors and staff. We truly appreciate your understanding and grace as you enjoy the learning experience.

In this 2-hour session, you’ll design and craft your own 8x8 wooden mosaic panel, bringing to life beautiful landscapes, your team’s logo, or any personalized design that sparks your creativity. Each session is guided by our friendly instructors who’ll help you explore color, texture, and pattern to create a piece that’s uniquely yours. Come unwind, create, and take home your masterpiece only at The Spinning Wheel ATX!

This Spring Break, The Spinning Wheel invites young artists to slow down, work with their hands, and explore multiple art forms in a warm, nurturing studio environment. Our camp is rooted in tactile learning, creative exploration, and joyful self-expression. Dates: March 16 – March 20, Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Ages: 3 years & up, Fee: $350 per child (all materials included) for the week. $100 per child per Day for the Day Camper.
